Here are a list of 25 little items you can place into those fun plastic eggs that DO NOT involve food, making these treats sugar free and allergy free 🙂

  1. Great ideas! When I was little the Easter Bunny put prize tickets in some of the eggs. You could use a prize ticket to get a toy out of a big box the Easter Bunny left for us. It had bigger items like bubble swords, jump ropes, large balls, etc.

You knew when you picked up an egg that felt empty, that is probably had a prize ticket! I do this with my kids now.

    1. I love your idea Laura! I just might have to try that 🙂

    2. LOVE this idea!! Gonna try it this year… thanx!!! 😀

  2. Great ideas. does anyone have ideas foe eggs for tots. things that would be safe for a 1yr old. i have 2 other children 2 and 7. so the 7 year old possibilities are ensless. my 2 year old loves bracelets and painting nails. but is there something that would be safe for a 1 year old

    1. How about Little People? or figures like that? Maybe some bath toys that are smaller?

      1. I had 3 about the same age, twin girls and son one year younger.
I wrote their name on the egg. They had to find their own eggs. If they found their brother or sisters egg they had to put it back and keep hunting. Made it last way longer.

        1. That is a great idea Mary!

    2. Samantha- they actually sell filled toddler eggs at target. We did that for my lil guy when he was 1. They had Elmo figures in them!!

  3. Corey,
I just love this post! Lunchbox Love for Kids Trivia and Jokes or even our FREE Easter Printables all from http://www.sayplease.com are also great non-food things to put in Easter Baskets. They are funny, fun and sweet.

  4. These are good ideas. We try to avoid candy & chocolate as well. We go to dollar store, toys r us, Walmart… birthday party bag items are great. We designate colors to kids & fill with stickers, tattoos, erasers, stamps, slime, play doh, rings, bracelets pirate eye patches, stick on mustaches… After 4yrs repetition has caught up to us. This year we’re splitting up craft items & puzzle pieces to be assembled after the hunt. Other eggs will have play money for the kids to buy something from our prize table. Every parent is purchasing a little something their kids have been asking for bellow $30 for their kids to buy from the prize table.
Hoping this is a hit, the hunting is always what they remember most anyhow, not so much what’s found inside the eggs.
