Halloween Bark – Fun Halloween Food
This Halloween Bark has become an October family tradition. Each year my girls get super excited to make what they refer to as, Spooky Food!
This fun Halloween food is such a great recipe for the kiddos to help out with. First of all, it only takes minutes to make. There are no long waiting sessions for the kids to endure. 🙂 While the adults are melting the chocolate or almond bark, those little fingers can be sorting out food sprinkles and breaking up cookies and pretzels.

Want to mix things up? This melt in your mouth Halloween Bark can be customized for your favorite color and candy. Try milk chocolate, or orange colored melts. Add in leftover Halloween candy. Have FUN!
Halloween Bark – Fun Halloween Food
- 12-14 orange and black sandwich cookies, broken up into large chunks
- 1 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
- 1 pound almond bark or white chocolate melts
- 1 1/2 cups candy corn
- 20-30 candy eyeballs
- 1-2 tablespoons of a variety of Halloween food sprinkles.
- Melt almond bark according to package. I slowly melted mine in a sauce pan over a low heat, until smooth and shiny. Make sure to stir frequently to prevent burning.
- In the meantime, cover a large cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper. Spread broken cookies, pretzels and about 1 cup of the candy corn onto the prepared cookie sheet.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookie mixture, spreading with spatula to coat evenly.
- Quickly sprinkle remaining candy corn, candy eyeballs and food sprinkles over the almond bark while it is still wet. Place cookie tray into refrigerator until set and firm.
- Break into pieces and enjoy!

Made this over the weekend and it is AWESOME!! Making a second batch tonight to share.
Thanks for the fun ideas!
Yay! I am so glad you liked it. Isn’t it fun to make?!
Fun and easy! I am thinking Christmas bark would be great for handmade gifts…white bark, red sandwich cookies, pretzels and holiday sprinkles. Hmmm…will have to find a good substitute for candy corn.
This working mom really appreciates your food blog. Have added lots of your recipes and ideas to my regular menu rotation. Thanks!
What about red and green m and m’s? I know they are totally different types of candy….but they’d be festive!
I like J.B.’s suggestion, and I’ll add crushed peppermint candy (maybe better for adults because of texture after crushing) and/or Andes mint pieces (more child-friendly).
I think I have seen red and green “candy corn”, but I could be wrong.
I don’t know why I’m just finding your blog now but so glad I did. 🙂 Following you on FB and Pinterest now. Thanks for this recipe – I’m going to head to the store in a bit to get my ingredients. 🙂 XO
Thanks Diana! I’m going to head over and check out your blog now too 🙂 XO
