Welcome back to Smoothie Sunday! This Banana Split Smoothie is the girls’ absolute favorite smoothie. Many times after dinner, they will BEG for it as a dessert.

I don’t know about you, but I would much prefer my kiddos sipping on this fruit and yogurt packed smoothie, than a handful of cookies or ice cream. It’s also fun to surprise the kids with a Banana Split Smoothie for breakfast. Seriously, wouldn’t this be a super awesome way to start the day?!

Note: If you do not have frozen fruit to use for the smoothies, fresh fruit will work just fine. If using fresh fruit, make sure to add a handful of ice to the other ingredients before blending. The frozen fruit just adds that cold element to make an ice cold drink. 

Banana Split Smoothie

  • 3/4 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 large banana, sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate milk ( chocolate almond and or coconut milk are awesome too!)
  • 1 TB honey
  • (optional: Cherry, whipped cream and sprinkles)
  1. Directions
    Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  Serve as is or with optional cherry and whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate milk chocolate almond and or coconut milk are awesome too!
  • 1 TB honey

  2. I just made this the other night for dinner. Well my version anyway: no dairy and with my chocolate whole food powder. So good!!

  3. It Sounds amazing. Do you know how many calories it is per serving and how is one smoothie like one 1 cup etc?

    1. I don’t have the cal count… but you can plug the ingredients into a My Fitness Pal to get an exact amount.

    1. Depending on the yogurt you use, it varies. I like to plug my ingredients into My Fitness Pal to see exact calorie counts.

    It was tasty, but I think next time I will definitely try cutting the amount of strawberries, maybe by half! As is it was so hard to blend and so thick I had to keep adding more milk! And even with all the extra chocolate milk it just tasted like a strawberry smoothie; they completely overwhelmed everything else. Still good, though. XD

  6. For those who were asking about calorie amounts, I assumed it was 2 cups. so 1 cup per person. I used chocolate almond milk instead of chocolate milk. and my calorie amount came out to 475 for the whole thing and 235.5 for 1 cup. I used everything else.

  7. Can you add pineapple to make it a true banana split? If so how much.
