Back To School Contest: Do You Squeeze or Spoon?

Back to School with Del Monte - Do you squeeze or spoon -

Are you gearing up for school lunch packing season? I know I am! I’ve already been hitting up Pinterest for ways to make lunch packing a breeze for the upcoming school year. Some lunchbox helpers I like to turn to are Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers and Fruit Cups.

Not only do I like to include them in my kids’ lunchbox, but they are also the perfect on-the-go snack.   Neither have any high fructose corn syrup nor artificial flavors, and both are an excellent source of Vitamin C. Are you following a gluten-free lifestyle?  Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers and Fruit Cups are also gluten free!

Oh and talk about yummy flavors! The Fruit + Veggie Varieties come in Peach-Mango and Blueberry. The Simply Fruit Varieties come in Apple Cinnamon, Mixed Berry and Strawberry.

The fruit cups come in endless varieties, but our favorites are the mandarin oranges (I swear Little D might turn into a mandarin orange with the amount she eats!), Tropical Fruit Blend and the new Pineapple Coconut.

What’s my favorite way to use Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers and Plastic Fruit Cups? I like to keep some Fruit Burst Squeezers in my freezer. When I am ready to pack my kid’s lunchbox, I’ll throw a frozen Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezer into the lunch bag. The frozen pack acts as an ice pack and then when lunch rolls round, the pouch has thawed and is ready to enjoy!

As a work-from-home mom, I am always looking for ways to help my girls be more self-sufficient.  Not only does this ease the many, “hey mom, can you get me _____” interruptions, but also builds on their independence. Win-win!

This is why I started utilizing this snack station. The snack basket is low enough for my kiddos to reach and full of yummy snacks my kiddos can easily grab. Both the Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers and Fruit Cups work great for this.
