Banana Bread Smoothie - FamilyFreshMeals.com

Since discovering smoothies a while ago I have become obsessed with them. I said it before and I say it again I love smoothies, they are healthy, they are tasty and they are versatile

Not to mention they are the best possible breakfast when you are in a rush, or running late or when you just don’t want to cook long traditional breakfasts.

Just throw all the ingredients in a blender pulse a couple times, pour in a glass and enjoy your breakfast with one hand while with the other you are doing the million things we always need to do in the mornings.

Banana Bread Smoothie - FamilyFreshMeals.com - YUM!

Since I love smoothies so much I’m always on the hunt for new recipes and new ways to eat them (like pouring them in a bowl!) this Banana Bread Smoothie it’s my latest creation and one that I have been eating for the last week non-stop. That’s how delicious and easy it is.

And can we please talk about how it tastes just like banana bread? Like seriously,  it literally tastes like the baked banana bread we all love, but in all it’s healthy, creamy, filling, good for you glory. Excuse me while I go to make myself another glass.

Note: If you do not have frozen fruit to use for the smoothies, fresh fruit will work just fine. If using fresh fruit, make sure to add a handful of ice to the other ingredients before blending. The frozen fruit just adds that cold element to make an ice cold drink.

I really like this recipe. Great combination of flavors. I know this may sound weird, but I love this with some peanut butter added. I usually leave out the cinnamon when I add the peanut butter.
