Fun Thanksgiving Turkey Treats

Fun Thanksgiving Turkey Treats - FamilyFreshMeals.com

The other day, I was thinking about those Thanksgiving craft projects we used to make as kids back in school. Remember the one where you traced around your hand on a piece of paper and decorated it to make a turkey? Okay, it doesn’t look that much like a real turkey, but it’s still pretty neat.

So I was toying with that idea, and I realized it would be pretty easy to turn it into a Thanksgiving goodie bag. All you’d have to do is use clear gloves instead of tracing around your hand, fill them up with treats, add eyes and a beak, and voila! Fun Thanksgiving Turkey Treats!

These make a nifty favor for a Thanksgiving party, like a school get-together. Better still, the kids can have fun putting the bags together before eating them…so they’re an activity and a favor all in one. And if you’re not throwing a party, but you do have a bunch of kids hanging around before your Thanksgiving dinner, this little craft project can keep them amused and out of your hair while you finish making the gravy.

Super cute! Thanks for the idea. I think my home schooled kiddos will enjoy making these for themselves and to pass out to some of our elderly neighbors!
