Two Ingredient Easy Pumpkin Brownies

Two Pumpkin Brownies stacked on a white plate

Don’t know what to make for dessert tonight? It doesn’t get much easier than this. All you are going to need is a box of your favorite brownie mix and a can of pumpkin!  These Easy Pumpkin Brownies are so moist and decadent, they actually turn out more  like fudge than a brownie. Drooooooool.

I topped my brownies with a simple butter/powdered sugar frosting.   Hey, why not?! You saved a bunch of calories omitting all the usual oil 😉

  1. Umm, I have those ingredients!!!! Guess what I’m making today??? 🙂

    1. Just made these, but added half a teaspoon cayenne pepper. Always add this pepper to chocolate..

  2. My family loves these! Don’t add the ingredients on the box-instructions. Also, I tried in a 9×9–the brownies turned out too gooey. The 9×13 gives the right texture because of a thinner layer. I use the Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate–fewer chemicals listed in the ingredients-list. Delicious!

    1. Can I use a 21.2oz family box of brownies??? Or will I mess up the dessert

      1. I have only made these as I wrote the recipe Myra. Has anyone else used a family sized box?

  3. What is the glaze on top?

    1. See the link in the post for the butter/powdered sugar frosting 🙂 Delish!

  4. came out super moist.. Added one banana, mini chocolate chips . Next time adding walnuts.

  5. I LOVE brownies & LOVE almost anything pumpkin, but these were the worst brownies I’ve ever had! We threw them out because no one in our house liked them. I was so disappointed. Such a waste of a good brownie mix & can of pumpkin. 🙁

    1. I am so sorry you did not like these Heather. Thanks for giving them a try!

  6. I agree Heather, they were fairly revolting…. I’m glad we used the no name brownie mix to try them out 😉

    1. Sorry you didn’t like them Michele. They def do taste different than regular brownies, so you need to keep that in mind when going into this 🙂

  7. I was skeptical at first bite, but I think the frosting and sprinkles made them super yummy. My husband loved them and he claims not to like sweets. I was disappointed he ate the last one. I dreamt about it at work all day.

  8. There’s not enough pumpkin. Maybe the organic is different but I just used Libby’s and the mix was so dry that the batter got over mixed. The flavor was ok but they were very rubbery. I don’t think we will b making these again. Good idea just not what I hoped for

  9. Anything this easy cannot be good. Unfortunately this is true. 🙁
