Raise your hand if you love cookie dough!
Raise your hand if you love cookie dough! Why yes, I am raising BOTH of my hands. I am one of those people who would much prefer to eat the cookie dough than the actual cookie. My girls just happen to be the same way.
As we all know eating raw cookie dough is a no-no. Thankfully this Edible Cookie Dough Recipe is egg free, so you and your family can chow down without a worry.
I have made a similar recipe for my Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes, but that recipe makes a ton. So what if you want a quick treat for just you and your honey? This Edible Cookie Dough Recipe makes enough for two…..or one if you are having a really bad day 🙂

The texture is pretty grainy and it’s a little too swee. But other than that, spot on!

I loved this I almost NEVER comment but this was SO good, last night my mom said she really wanted some cookie dough,(she is pregnant) and I thought i’m going to make some cookie dough.( that is normal for me, I am ALWAYS baking/cooking something and i’m only 10) so i made it this morning and everybody in my family LOVED IT. If i could give it 6 stars i would.
Corey says
I so happy that you loved it so much!! Thanks for sharing . 🙂
Remzi says
I’m happy that you actually left a reply :b

*Raises hand*
Martha L says
Very salty (just like me) would’ve been a perfect fit except it was a little too dry as well (like my humor). I don’t think I mixed it well because I’m dumb (just like my friends) I don’t know how to MIX IT UP. I think i need new friends tho
Jameson says
What would the best temp and time to put these in the oven in case you want to have cookies instead of cookie dough?
Sophia says
Hi, I love how cute your page is but when it cam to making the dough the recipie was way off and it did not taste yum. I still love ur page but I think next time I will just eat the mixture of the cookies I am making.
Corey says
Sorry you did not like it Sophia.
J says
We liked it! I doubled it for my family. Used Enjoy Life chocolate chips & almond milk. Simple & satisfied my sweet tooth! It’s hilarious when people complain about serving size or their opinion of sweetness….like just make a bigger batch or add more or less brown sugar to your liking. Don’t make it so hard.
Momma Shark says
Exactly my thought. Was too sweet for me but im sure to tweak it next time. Recipe is still great and still tastes like cookie dough lol sorry about the “1” star on comment. My tablet is being really touchy and won’t work with me.
Cole says
I’m a college student on a budget and only do a little cooking so I try to buy ingredients I won’t use in abundance. That said, could use cornstarch instead of flour?
Mike says
Im not sure why but I follow the recipe to the mark, and my dough comes out thin, I have to pop it in the freezer to make it thicker and more dough like. Am i missing something?
Morgan says
I would think adding just a little more flour might help. Or use less milk.
Susi says
This cookie dough looks amazing
But can you please tell me
In the recipe is it plain flour or all purpose flour?
And also for how long should I bake?
Allie says
You don’t bake this cookie dough! 🙂 It’s for eating raw!
Morgan says
Original recipe is 10/10…. my change 8/10. It worked for tonight when I was in a bind.
I honestly have made this recipe so many times that I’m out of butter. I googled butter alternatives and it gave me olive oil and coconut oil. I switched the butter for 1 TBS of coconut oil and 2 TBS of cold bred coffee…..
Stacey says
This was delicious. But 2 servings?! Bahahaa! (Yes, I am PMS-ing, why do you ask?) Thank you for this recipe, it is the perfect amount. The problem with the other recipes I’ve found is that after my initial craving is satisfied, I am left with a whole lot of left overs that of course I WILL EAT simply because they are here. This satisfied my craving and then it was GONE.
Allie says
Soooooo good! I made it and instantly fell in love! The size is on the small side and I had a tough time sharing even when I doubled the recipe! 🙂 For two people? I don’t think so! 5 star recipe!
Angela says
Really yummy, thanks!
James says
This is a fat w.
NoneOfYourBusiness says
I was craving some cookie dough and this was PERFECT!! tastes and looks just like cookie dough (that’s cause it is haha) would definitely make this again!
Kas says
It was good! I was craving something sweet at like 2 am, searched up edible cookie dough, and found this. It was very easy and simple to make and perfect serving! I actually had quite a bit left over. It was really sweet though. And the dough tasted more like sugar cookie dough with chocolate chips in it. Still good just not what you’re expecting.
Matisynn Seeley says
This cookie dough recipe was amazing!!! This is the best recipe I have found and is so delicious! It definitely hit my sweet spot! The recipe was so easy to follow and super quick to do! I had to fend my kids off of Mama’s sweet treat!
Laura says
Use less salt, tastes a little on the salty side
Danielle says
Soooooo good!!! I even added some oatmeal! I love the different texture it adds!
Thank you for such a great recipe!!
Katie says
I wanted a small amount of edible cookie dough for homemade cookie dough ice cream. This recipe mostly fit what I was looking for. I substituted 1/4 heaping cup of powdered sugar and 1/4 t molasses for the brown sugar to get rid of the grittiness that a lot of people mentioned. I also halved the amount of milk since I wanted something a bit firmer. It came out pretty good.
Julie says
Do left overs have to be refrigerated?
Corey says
Yes, I would.
Bethany says
I read through some of the comments and swapped 1 Tbsp of the brown sugar for 1 extra Tbsp of flour (so 3T brown sugar instead of 1/4 cup and 6T flour). It was still really sweet, but since it was split between me and my 2 kids, it wasn’t overwhelming. A nice, fast, sweet treat. Bookmarking this for sure!
Haley Larson says
OMG!!!! This recipe is sooooo good. It is onlyg for one not two! This is good for one of those days.
Great Recipe!!!!!
Sarah says
How long does this keep in the fridge? It’s absolutely delicious but I can only eat a little at a time.
Also is there any way to bake this into just a regular cookie? I’ve always had trouble finding a recipe I like for a personal cookie or two
Corey says
I would use it within 3 days. No, these are not to be baked.
Lyla says
So I thought the recipe was great and that is tasted almost like real cookie dough. I was just wondering how many calories it is.
Carrera says
This recipe looks great and just what im looking for. This may seem like an obviously stupid question but is it baking safe?
Corey says
I would not use this for baking.
Gemmalee says
Can you bake these because I want to make some baked and some just cookie dough
Anna says
This is the easiest cookie dough recipe. My friends came over and we made several versions and taste tested them. They were pretty darn good.
Samantha says
Go easy on the salt. I made it a little too salty. Ruin s the whole thing. Then made another batch with less salt and it was way better!
Philip says
Thanks for the great recipe. So easy and tastes delicious! Exactly what I was looking for.
Sophie says
AMAZING!! Just made it with my younger sister and I’m in love! Thanks for sharing!!
Asha says
Exactly how much cookie dough does this recipe make?
Natalia Piedrahita says
ive made this before and its absolutely delicious!! I was just wondering what would happen if I used melted butter instead of it being softened? I always forget to take mine out of the freezer and I just don’t have the patience for it to thaw lol!
Mollie Boone says
I have made this three times now and love it more each time! It’s the perfect single serve recipe. I’ve made it so much that I had to figure out the calorie content: 700 calories total! Wish I hadn’t done that. Will it stop me from making this and eating it again? Not a chance ?
Corey says
Haha. So glad you love it Mollie! We usually only eat half each (I know it is hard to do) so 350 cals isn’t that bad for a yummy treat!
Becca says
Does the dough still tase as good without the chocolate chips?
Invisible says
Yes it does.
Batdog says
Wow I’m so late to this ><
Anyway, this all looks fantastic and I'm going to try it for my mom's birthday. But could someone tell me how much this serving is in actual weight? I need about 500 grams of cookie dough so if someone could tell me (in any weight measurement, I can simply calculate it back to grams if you don't use this system) how much it weighs, then I can edit the recipe to the right amount and give it a try
Many thanks!
Clare says
This recipe is awesome!!! It’s convenient and easy to make. The only thing is, I wish there was a little bit more; but it’s fine the way it is. Oh! Instead of vanilla I added mint, it really brings out the flavor of the cookie dough.
Thanks for this simple but sweet recipe.I tend to find a lot of dessert recipes on the internet with way to much butter and not enough sugar. This recipe (thank goodness) isn’t buttery tasting…more sugary 🙂
natalie says
Good day,
Your recipe was amazing thank you,
thing is, i made this the second time round and i made too buttery trying to fix it because it tasted too doughy…
is there any advice on how can save it?
Please and thank you. 🙂
Cindy says
I have ALWAYS been a cookie dough person!! But the increasing number of recalls for contaminated food made eating cookie dough a game of Russian roulette! Thank you for giving me back a life long treat….
Carlie says
My husband has requested this the last 3 nights, it’s our guilty pleasure! I do add a pinch of baking soda and half a tablespoon more flour just because I feel like it adds an identical taste to cookie dough, but I come back to this recipe for reference every time. It tastes just like my home made cookie dough!! It’s the best eggless recipe I’ve found!
Rachel says
I know I may get mauled by everyone, and really, when I’m eating stuff like this I don’t really care, but because I want to enjoy a little even when I’m trying to watch what I eat, what is the calorie count for a serving?? I’m guessing around 350???
Carissa says
This was really nice! I’ve had trouble finding an edible cookie dough recipe with the right texture 🙂 I microwaved my flour for 1 min 15secs to kill any potential bacteria.
S says
Anyone know the calorie count and how to make it a little thicker? Seems runny to me. But I still love it!
Anya says
Ohmygoodness! Absolutely delicious!! Doubled the recipe and we’ve all been sharing! 🙂 Only two things I’d note… REALLY SWEET & the flour does add an additional (kinda weird-ish) taste. I didn’t really mind it, just wanted to throw that out there for others. Besides that, HEAVEN IN A BOWL. Thank you for this recipe!! Will be using it again!
Soph says
I used this recipe as a tester for a school market day product, and the end result was amazing! The original recipe tasted fab but was a bit too soft, so I added approx 3 tbsp more flour – worked like a charm!!
Tara says
It is so yum, even without the choc chips!
Kevin says
It was a good recipe but I changed it up and I think I made it better. Instead of using all brown sugar. I used 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar and 2 Tablespoons of White Granulated Sugar. It tastes a lot more like regular chocolate chip cookie dough! Try and it and see for yourself!
Jena says
Did you use all purpose or self rising flour? Mine is delicious, but runny. Not sure if I used the wrong flour! Thanks! It’s yummy!
Corey says
I have only used all purpose.
Mallory Norton says
Very good! Thanks for sharing, my son and I enjoyed making and eating it together! We added dried cranberry’s and some white chocolate instead of chocolate chips.
Corey says
Cranberries and white chocolate sound AMAZING!!!
