I know, I know, I’m obsessed with my Crockpot. What can I say? It’s just so useful! I keep discovering more and more things I can do with it. Lasagna soupone-pot chicken…even sweet potatoes.

Can you really be surprised that when I cooked up a Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwich, I found a way to make it in the crockpot?

I mean, think about it. I already had this great recipe for Slow Cooker Bacon Ranch Chicken and Pasta, so all I really had to do was take out the pasta and serve the chicken up on buns instead. With shredded cheese. And onion rings. It was like fate! Delicious, delicious fate.

And really, why wouldn’t you cook the chicken for this chicken sandwich in the crockpot? Why wait until dinner to get started, when you could have the chicken bubbling away all day in the crock, just waiting for you to get home?

Hour by hour, it steeps in its rich, creamy sauce, getting more and more savory as the day goes on. And then at dinnertime, all you have to do is shred the chicken, dish it out on the buns, and add the toppings.

Crockpot magic. There are just no limits.

    Hiya.
    Really enjoy reading your resipices.
    But I can’t try them.
It’s oversly American. I’m in England and have no idea what the equivalent of ranch dressing and season mix is.
was wondering if you knew or could tell me what is in it. As I really want to try things.

    Many thanks Charlie x

Tried it and hate to say, didn’t like it. Tasted like cream of chicken soup sandwiches. My family loves most chicken dishes I make…but even I had to agree. Won’t be one I’ll make again. But to each their own. Will try some others though. 🙂 and it will only let me rate it a 5…in my opinion it is not.

    1. Sorry you didn’t love it Tanya. I am happy to hear you will try some other recipes 🙂

I’m a little confused about how much ranch dressing to use. Is it 1 ounce of liquid dressing and then the dried mix was used to create the liquid mix? Or do you use both? Thanks Corey, love all your recipes that I’ve made for the fam so far!

I love this recipe so much. We just got an Instant Pot. Do you know if this can be modified to be cooked in the Instant Pot? If so, how?
