Preheat oven to 275°F. In a small sauce pan, combine all basting sauce ingredients. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves completely and jam has melted. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Remove all packaging from the ham. Place ham, cut side down, on oven- safe rack in a large roasting pan. Baste sauce over entire outside of ham, working the sauce between the sliced layers as much as possible. Continue basting until all of the sauce is applied (extra runoff in the bottom of the pan is fine).
Cover the ham and roast in pan completely with aluminum foil. Bake at 275°F until the ham is heated through (approximately 2 1/2 hours).
Optional: Check on the ham every 30 minutes; brush up juice that has collected in the bottom of the roasting pan and baste the ham.
When The Ham Has Reached Desired Temperature (140°F), remove from oven and discard aluminum foil. Adjust oven temperature to 425°F.
In a small saucepan, combine glaze ingredients. Heat until butter is melted and the sugars form a paste.
Brush paste over the outside of the ham.
Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, for 10-20 minutes. Watch the ham carefully as the sugar glaze can burn easily. As soon as the glaze caramelizes, remove the ham from the oven. Let the ham sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
