Ingredients

  • 4 ounces ½ of an 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ½ cups cold heavy cream
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 Tablespoon lime juice about ½ a lime
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest optional
  • 5 cups premade Angel Food Cake cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries stems removed and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the cream cheese until fluffy, about 1 minute.
  • Add in the heavy cream, powdered sugar, honey, lime juice, and lime zest (optional) and beat on medium speed until stiff peaks are formed, about 2-5 minutes.
  • Remove the whipped cream cheese mixture from the mixer and place into a bowl to set aside for now.
  • To assemble the trifles, use 3 (8 ounce) mason jars.
  • Start by adding, on the bottom, a layer of angel food cake cubes.
  • Add a layer of cream cheese mixture, followed by the strawberries, and blueberries.
  • Add another layer of cream cheese mixture and repeat until each mason jar is filled.
  • Top with additional strawberries and blueberries. Refrigerate until serving. Best when served cold.
