- 4 ounces ½ of an 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups cold heavy cream
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 1 Tablespoon lime juice about ½ a lime
- 1 teaspoon lime zest optional
- 5 cups premade Angel Food Cake cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 cup fresh strawberries stems removed and sliced
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the cream cheese until fluffy, about 1 minute.
Add in the heavy cream, powdered sugar, honey, lime juice, and lime zest (optional) and beat on medium speed until stiff peaks are formed, about 2-5 minutes.
Remove the whipped cream cheese mixture from the mixer and place into a bowl to set aside for now.
To assemble the trifles, use 3 (8 ounce) mason jars.
Start by adding, on the bottom, a layer of angel food cake cubes.
Add a layer of cream cheese mixture, followed by the strawberries, and blueberries.
Add another layer of cream cheese mixture and repeat until each mason jar is filled.
Top with additional strawberries and blueberries. Refrigerate until serving. Best when served cold.
