- 2 pounds round steak
- ½ cup flour
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 carrots chopped
- 3 stalks of celery chopped
- 28 oz diced tomatoes with juice
- 14 oz cream of tomato
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley
Add the flour with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder to a large plate. Mix together.
Dredge each steak in the flour mixture on both sides.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil once hot add the steak and brown the steaks on both sides
Once browned Place the steak in the slow cooker.
Add the remaining ingredients, except the fresh parsley and stir.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7 hours.
Serve hot garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired
