- 6 slices American cheese
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese*
- ⅓ cup milk
- 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
- 4 onion buns
For the copycat Arby sauce:
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
Mix copycat Arby sauce ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium high heat, combine the American cheese, cheddar cheese and milk. Stir constantly as the cheese melts down until well combined and smooth. Remove from heat. Note: If you want to thin your sauce out, add 1 additional tablespoon of milk at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Divide the Arby sauce between each sandwich and spread evenly.
Layer the meat onto each sandwich.
Add your sandwiches open faced to the air fryer basket and drizzle cheese sauce onto each sandwich. You may need to work in batches depending on your air fryer size.
Cook the sandwiches on the air fry setting at 320F for 3-5 minutes, until warmed through and buns are slightly toasted.
