Snickerdoodle Overnight French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread or your choice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup cup cream or half & half
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar mix

Instructions

  • Cut the bread into 1-2 inch thick slices, if your bread is big (wide) cut it down the middle as well.
  • Layer bread into the bottom of a buttered casserole dish.
  • Melt the butter in a microwave safe dish, drizzle half over the first layer of bread. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar mixture. Layer the remaining bread slices.
  • Beat the egg and cream together, pour over the bread. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar. Cover with foil and refrigerate over night.
  • The next day, Bake on 350, covered, for 30 minutes. Remove cover, bake additional 6-8 minutes.
  • French toast should be crunchy on the edges, creamy in the middle but no runny egg should be present.
  • Spoon and serve with syrup or whipped cream and berries!
