Chocolate Cherry Trifle

Chocolate Cherry Trifle in a glass serving bowl

This Chocolate Cherry Trifle is easy to make because you start with some ready-made ingredients: chocolate cake mix, canned cherry pie filling, whipped topping, and canned vanilla frosting. So all you really have to do is put it all together.

Because of the way the ingredients are layered, every serving you dish out of the bowl has all the flavors mixed together: rich chocolate cake, luscious cream, and sweet-tart cherries. It’s a rich, sweet dessert that tastes like a lot more trouble than it really was.
