Cheesy Pizza Bombs

Cheesy Pizza Bombs Recipe - Family Fresh Meals

Pepperoni pizza is the perfect, crowd-pleasing party food – at least, as a main course. But as an appetizer, it’s really not ideal. A whole slice of pizza is too big for an appetizer, and cutting the pizza into smaller pieces just makes them harder to handle without getting sauce all over your fingers.

What you really need for this situation is little pieces of pizza with the crust wrapped all the way around and the cheese and toppings stay tucked inside. And here they are: Cheesy Pizza Bombs!

Making these little gems is much easier than whipping up a pizza from scratch. Instead of messing around with homemade dough, you just crack open a can of biscuits. Each one of those will provide enough dough for two pizza bombs. Just cut them in half, roll them out flat, layer on some sliced mozzarella and pepperoni quarters, and fold them closed. Then brush their tops with seasoned melted butter and bake.

Serve these up with a bowl of marinara sauce for dipping, and your guests can get the full pepperoni pizza experience in a handy, bite-sized package.Cheesy Pizza Bombs - ingredients on counter - biscuits, cheese, butter, pepperoni, seasoning, marinara sauce.

  1. Is there a smart way to make a bunch of these and then freeze? What would the freezing instructions be? (Freeze after baking? Or before?) And then how to reheat if frozen?

    1. That is a great idea Emily! I would freeze them after baking. When you are ready to use the again, Maybe try baking at 375 for 15 mins? I haven’t tried that yet, so please let us know if you do try it and how it turned out. Love this idea!

  2. How I missed this previously, I’ll never know. So glad I saw it today. I know we’ll enjoy these! Thanks 🙂

    1. I hope you love them! These pizza bombs are one of our favorites!
