Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 6 hamburger buns

Optional toppings: pickles, cheese, sliced onions, mustard

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, unKl it is no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the beef broth and simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes. The meat should be moist but not soupy.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  • Serve the loose meat on hamburger buns with your choice of toppings, such as pickles, cheese, sliced onions, or extra mustard.
