- 2 lb chicken wing drummettes
- 1 cup root beer
- 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Spray crockpot with cooking spray. Place chicken in slow cooker.
In medium bowl, stir root beer, barbecue sauce, brown sugar and pepper flakes until well blended. Reserve 1 cup sauce. Pour remaining sauce over chicken. Stir to coat drummettes.
Cover; cook on Low 4 hours.
Once cooking is done. Set your oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with foil. Place chicken on pan (discard liquid in the crockpot). Brush with reserved 1 cup sauce. Broil tops of chicken until browned. Turn chicken and brush with sauce and boil that side until browned.
