Slow Cooker Creamed Peas

Ingredients

  • 22 oz bag frozen peas
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter sliced into pats
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add the frozen peas to the bottom of a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
  • Add remaining ingredients on top of the peas.
  • Cover and set the slow cooker to high for 1-2 hours, or 3-4 hours on low, stirring a couple times throughout the cooking process until the peas are cooked through and the cream cheese has melted through. Adjust salt and pepper to taste,
  • Serve immediately as is or keep on the warm setting, enjoy!
