Chocolate Cashew Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate Cashew Smoothie Bowl Recipe - Family Fresh Meals

One of the things I love about smoothies, and especially smoothie bowls, is that they’re an easy way to make a healthy meal. They’re loaded with fresh fruit, whole grains, low-fat dairy…all the things I want my kids (and, let’s be honest, me) to be eating more of.

But sometimes, I just get tired of being good all the time. Sometimes, I want something that’s rich and creamy and decadent. Something with…chocolate. Unfortunately, just grabbing a chocolate sundae every time I get the urge probably isn’t the best move. So, clever me, I figured out a way to make a smoothie bowl that’s healthy and decadent.

Chocolate Cashew Smoothie Bowl - Step 1

Made with a frozen banana, cocoa powder, and cashew butter, this Chocolate Cashew Smoothie Bowl tastes creamy, rich, and chocolatey. But at the same time, there’s nothing in there that you need to feel bad about eating. You can even use almond milk instead of dairy milk to lighten it up still more.

You can top this with fresh strawberries, cashews, and coconut if you want to keep it healthy…and throw in some dark chocolate chunks if you want to tilt it more toward the rich side. Hey, we all deserve a little indulgence, right?
