- 8 oz tuna steak ( 2 - 4oz steaks)
- salt and pepper to taste
Marinade
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
Combine your marinade in a small bowl.
Season your tuna steaks with salt and pepper and then place them in a ziplock bag. Pour the marinade in and allow it to sit for 15-25 minutes. You do not want it to marinade any longer since the vinegar can begin to “cook” the tuna like in ceviche.
Coat them with the sesame seeds.
Turn your grill on high. Generously spray the grill with non sticking cooking spray. Place your steaks on the grill to sear for 2-3 minutes per side. It should be crispy on the outside and bright pink on the inside.
