Ingredients

  • 8 oz tuna steak ( 2 - 4oz steaks)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic

Coating

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Combine your marinade in a small bowl.
  • Season your tuna steaks with salt and pepper and then place them in a ziplock bag. Pour the marinade in and allow it to sit for 15-25 minutes. You do not want it to marinade any longer since the vinegar can begin to “cook” the tuna like in ceviche.
  • Coat them with the sesame seeds.
  • Turn your grill on high. Generously spray the grill with non sticking cooking spray. Place your steaks on the grill to sear for 2-3 minutes per side. It should be crispy on the outside and bright pink on the inside.
