- 24 ounce cans of apple pie filling
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- ⅔ cup caramel syrup
- 15.25 ounce white cake mix
- 1 cup salted butter
- cold Vanilla Ice Cream optional garnish Caramel sauce, optional garnish
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan well with cooking spray. Spread the cans of apple pie filling into an even layer on the bottom of the pan.
Sprinkle the pumpkin pie spice all over the top of the apple pie filling.
Drizzle the caramel syrup evenly over the top of the spice. Swirl the caramel syrup into the apple pie filling slightly with a spatula. Do not fully mix.
Open the cake mix and sprinkle it all over the top as evenly as possible.
Cut each stick of butter into 12 squares as evenly as possible, and place the butter evenly on top of the cake mix. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the whole cake on top is golden brown.
If the edges begin to brown before the center, cover them with aluminum foil for the remaining bake time.
Allow the cake to cool for at least 10 minutes, and then serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, optional.
