- 6 tablespoons salted butter
- 16 oz. mini marshmallows
- 96 Ritz crackers about 3 sleeves
Melt butter in a large pot over medium- low heat.
As soon as the butter has melted, add the mini marshmallows and cook, stirring continuously until the marshmallows are melted completely.
Turn off the heat. Add Ritz crackers. You can gently crush them while adding them or even leave them somewhat whole. They will crush as the mixture is stirred together.
Transfer mixture to a 8x8 or 9x9 square pan that has been greased or lined with parchment paper.
Press the mixture into an even layer. Top with some larger pieces of Ritz cracker, if desired (simply for aesthetics).
Allow treats to cool completely, then cut into pieces and serve.
