Ritz Krispie Treats

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 16 oz. mini marshmallows
  • 96 Ritz crackers about 3 sleeves

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium- low heat.
  • As soon as the butter has melted, add the mini marshmallows and cook, stirring continuously until the marshmallows are melted completely.
  • Turn off the heat. Add Ritz crackers. You can gently crush them while adding them or even leave them somewhat whole. They will crush as the mixture is stirred together.
  • Transfer mixture to a 8x8 or 9x9 square pan that has been greased or lined with parchment paper.
  • Press the mixture into an even layer. Top with some larger pieces of Ritz cracker, if desired (simply for aesthetics).
  • Allow treats to cool completely, then cut into pieces and serve.
