  • 2.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1-2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • Chopped parsley cilantro, or green onions for topping
  • Sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  • Place the boneless chicken thighs or chicken breasts into your 6-quart slow cooker.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, cornstarch, sriracha, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic until smooth.

  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, making sure it is evenly coated. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.

  • The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F and is fork tender.

  • Remove the chicken and either slice or make shredded chicken using two forks.
