- 3 pounds sirloin steak cubed into approximately 1-inch squares
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 oz packet ranch seasoning
- 1 oz packet au jus gravy mix
- 8 pepperoncini peppers
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear for 3-4 minutes, turning the cubes so that they are browned on all sides. *
Add the steak cubes to the bottom of a large slow cooker. Make sure to get all the juices and butter from the skillet into the slow cooker too. Pour the beef broth over the meat.
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top of the beef.
Cut the remaining butter into slices, and place them around the slow cooker on top of the beef, along with the pepperoncini peppers.
Cook the steak bites on low for approximately 6 hours, until the steak is tender and the gravy is thickened. Stir every couple of hours during cooking, if possible.
