Instant Pot Spaghetti Dinner

Instant Pot Spaghetti Dinner Recipe - How to make a spaghetti instant pot meal! Family Fresh Meals

Easy Spaghetti Instant Pot Meal

Cooking spaghetti in the Instant Pot may seem kind of like overkill. After all, spaghetti with meat sauce is a pretty quick and easy meal already. You can brown some ground beef in the time it takes your water to boil, then simmer the sauce while the noodles are cooking, and have everything ready to go in 20 minutes.

But while the prep for a spaghetti dinner is easy, the cleanup is a bit more work. First, you have to put away the leftover spaghetti and sauce in separate containers. And then you’ve got to clean the pasta pot, the colander, the saucepan, and the serving bowls, along with all your other dishes.

The Instant Pot makes cooking and cleanup a breeze. You can brown the beef, simmer the sauce, and cook the noodles all in one pot. And after the meal, that one pot is all you have to clean.

With my Instant Pot Spaghetti Dinner, you can have dinner on the table within 20 minutes, and have the whole meal cleaned up in even less than that. And it’s got the same hearty flavor as if you’d cooked it the old-fashioned way.

Can I use frozen beef to make Instant Pot spaghetti?

Yes, but your need to do a quick thaw in the Instant Pot first.

Oh Great! How do I thaw frozen beef in the instant pot?

Start by place 1.5 cups of water into your Instant pot. Then set frozen beef on a trivet. Set for 7 minutes on HIGH pressure. Once done, do a quickly release the pressure. At this point, the meat will not be completely cooked through, but it will now be ready for you to brown. Discard the liquid left in the instant pot, and start to brown meat (in step 1 of this recipe)

Do u remove the grease from the browned ground beef?

    1. 5 stars
When you are using a lean beef as I suggest in the instructions, you shouldn’t have to. But if you are using a fatter beef, then yes, I would drain off beef.

  2. Jennifer K Lueck says:

I need to double this recipe. I have the 8qt pot. Would I also double the time?

    1. I don’t think you would need to double the time Jennifer. The machine will just take longer to come to pressure.

I will never make spaghetti the old way again! My family loved it and cleanup is so much easier!

    1. Awesome! So happy you loved it Debbie!

  4. Tom Gibbs says:

I made this last night and it was very good. I didn’t have the spices, but I used oregano and added green and red peppers and mushrooms. As this was my first time using the instant pot, I had a little too much water. Sauce was funnier than the usual sauce I make. It was still very good. Thanks for the recipe. Looking for something else to try.

    1. Oh, I love your addition of peppers and mushrooms! YUM!
