Easy Cake Mix Kiss Cookies

Easy Cake Mix Kiss Cookies - - Family Fresh Meals Recipe

It was a great day when I discovered cake mix cookies. Homemade cookies went from being a treat for special occasions to something I could whip up any weekday on a whim.

Once I’d learned this trick, I just had to try it with all my favorite cookie recipes. So it was only a matter of time before I tried it on that classic treat, the chocolate kiss cookie.

To make kiss cookies, you make your favorite kind of cookie – peanut butter is a classic, but I’m partial to chocolate-chocolate-chip – and then, while they’re still warm out of the oven, press a Hershey Kiss into the center of each one. The hot cookie melts the chocolate and glues the Kiss into place, so once it cools, it’s a cookie and candy all in one.

Made with chocolate cake mix, chocolate chips, and chocolate kisses, these Easy Cake Mix Kiss Cookies are a chocolate triple threat. And because the cake mix puts together all the dry ingredients for you, you can have them in and out of the oven in less than 15 minutes.

Of course, you’ll have to wait another half hour for the cookies to cool if you don’t want to get melted chocolate all over your face. But if you just can’t wait that long, I won’t tell.

I am going to have to make these! They remind me of my Dad’s Brach Chocolate Star Peanut Butter cookies! Except he used brown sugar to roll the cookie dough in.
