All you have to do is take a box of cake mix and add eggs, oil, and butter to make a good stiff batter. Then you spoon that out onto your cookie sheet, and you’re all ready for the oven.

Load them in the oven, and in just 15 minutes, you’ll have warm, wonderful, chewy, crunchy, buttery cookies that taste just like love.

INGREDIENTS
1 box Butter Pecan Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Oil
1/4 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Toffee bits

 

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350
 F. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients except the toffee bits

2. Combine well and spoon out onto a parchment lined cookie sheet
. If the dough is quite sticky, wet a spoon or finger and smooth down mound of dough into a nice round sphere.
 For added decoration, use the tines of a fork to flatten the cookie and make a decoration on the top
. Sprinkle a small bit of toffee bits on top of the cookie before it goes into the oven

3. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes, or until golden
. (less time = softer cookie) Let cookies sit on the pan for about 2 – 3 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

  1. I’m looking forward to trying this recipe. Two questions: Is the butter softened, melted, or cold? And do you just stir the ingredients together or do you use a mixer? Thanks.

    1. I used a hand mixer Lori, and it’s best if the butter is softened.

  2. A disappointment. Not at all like a home made cookie. Cost wise, timewise an taking the end product into consideration find another recipe or buy a package of commercial cookies!

    I just tried this recipe and I thought it was great. I used all butter instead of adding oil. I also added a half cup of mini chocolate chips (because that’s how I roll…) The cookies are delicious and my husband especially loves them!
