Turn plain frozen fries into a spicy, special treat.
So, remember how I used a combination of cilantro, lime, and other spices to make some zesty Cilantro Lime Wings? Well, I got to thinking, gee, this spicy blend is so good, there must be more things I could do with it. And then my eye fell on the bag of French fries in the freezer and I went, “Light bulb!”
After all, we busy moms all know about the Frozen Fry Problem – how to dress up plain old French fries to make them seem more special and home-cooked.
But once you have that basic idea of tossing fries with a seasoning blend, it’s pretty easy to come up with other spices you could try. And it turns out, this zesty cilantro-lime combo works really well for this.
All you have to do is toss the fries with the spices, add a squeeze of lime, and bake them, and like magic, they turn from plain old fries into Fiesta Fries. You can almost hear the mariachi music in the background.
