  1. Would it work w green onion? Looks like you used white. I’m not a cook but I have had some great cheese balls w green onion and wasn’t sure if that would work w this one.

I made this over Halloween, and my family liked it so much I’m making it again for Christmas, tomorrow. I wanted a little more salsa flavor so I added a can of Rotel, which I drained, squeezed through a colander, then dried with paper towels. I’m going to try to make a tree decorated with cilantro and pepitas as with a small pepper star.

I made this for a Halloween party last night and it was a huge hit. I used the whipped tub type of cream cheese and it firmed up just fine. So much easier to work with than the block kind. Also, I used chopped green onions because I had them on hand, worked just fine. I do think, however, that 2 cups of crushed Doritos for the coating is way too much. I coated mine very thick and still had a cup of crumbs leftover. I added more cumin and other Tex-Mex spices (chili powder, red pepper) to add more spice. GREAT RECIPE, everyone loved it and it was so cute. Thanks!

I loved this recipe is so tasty., My family and guest love it. To better shape the cheeseball to look like a pumpkin, roll it
in a ball ,wrap it up in the plastic them
use rubber bands 4 of them to make
the indentation of the shape of the pumpkin then refrigerate.
Then add the finishing touches with the
      crumbled chips and stem.
