I just love popcorn. It’s easy, tasty, and healthy, and there are so many ways to enjoy it – salty, spicy, savory, and sweet.

Here’s a sweet version that makes a terrific Valentine’s Day treat. It’s coated with white chocolate, then topped with Conversation Hearts and Valentine sprinkles to make a colorful and delicious mixture.

This recipe makes a great big batch that’s you can share with all the people you love…or stretch it out for a week with just one special someone. So it goes a lot further than a box of fancy chocolates, and it’s a lot cheaper, too.

Plus, it’s popcorn, so it’s actually good for you, right? Or at least, not as bad as a lot of other sweets.So go ahead, dive in…and get your Valentine’s Day popping!

Valentine’s Day Popcorn Treat

  1. Heat chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds or a double boiler until melted. Place the popcorn in a large bowl, and pour the melted chocolate over it.  Use a spoon to toss the popcorn until it is evenly coated with the chocolate.Valentine's Day Popcorn spread out on parchment paper
  2. Add the sprinkles Let cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Break up into small pieces then serve!Valentine's Day Popcorn  in a small decorative box

Ingredients
 

  • 12 oz white chocolate
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Conversation Hearts and or Valentines Day sprinkles

Instructions

  • Heat chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds or a double boiler until melted. Place the popcorn in a large bowl, and pour the melted chocolate over it. Use a spoon to toss the popcorn until it is evenly coated with the chocolate.
  • Spread the popcorn out on a baking sheet covered with parchment or wax paper.
  • Add the sprinkles Let cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Break up into small pieces then serve!
