Cute Fall Lunchbox Ideas

Cute Fall Lunchbox Ideas - Family Fresh Meals

You guys already know how I love to pack my kids special lunches for holidays, like Halloween or Valentine’s Day. But sometimes, I don’t want to wait for a holiday to make lunchtime special. So, during those stretches of several weeks at a time with no holiday in sight, I latch on to the time of year and make that my theme for a little lunchbox fun.

This doesn’t have to be complicated, either. Sometimes, dressing up a lunchbox for fall can be as simple as getting out your fall-themed cookie cutters (here’s a cute set, if you don’t already have some) and taking them to one item or another. Make leaf-shaped sandwiches, leaf-shaped cheese slices, or a quesadilla shaped like an adorable squirrel.

Tossing in a few autumn-themed goodies also gives a lunchbox a festival fall flavor. Nuts are always appropriate, or some autumn candy mix with those mini pumpkins in it. Or, you can add a fall theme to a piece of fruit. Turn a peeled mandarin orange into a little pumpkin by giving it a celery-stick stem. Or just use your paring knife to carve “fall” into the side of an apple.

The point is, you don’t have to do that much. Just a little touch is all it takes to give your lunchbox some fall flair.
