Air Fryer Chicken Bites
These crispy air fryer chicken bites are golden brown on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and ready in about 20 minutes start to finish. If you’re staring into the fridge at 5:30 wondering what on earth to feed everyone, this is the recipe that saves the day.

Not required, but preheating for 3 minutes gives you slightly better browning. If you’re in a rush, skip it — they’ll still be great.
Thaw it first. Frozen chicken releases too much water and you’ll end up steaming instead of crisping.
Air Fryer Chicken Bites
- Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Rinse the chicken and pat it very dry with paper towels . Cut into 1-inch pieces and add to a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour the seasoning mixture over the chicken and toss until every piece is coated.
- Working in batches so you don’t crowd the basket, add about half the chicken bites in a single layer. Cook at 380°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches at least 165°F.
- Pile them on a platter with your favorite dipping sauce and watch them disappear.
Pack any leftovers in your favorite lunchbox!
