Big Mac Sliders

Big Mac Sliders - Family Fresh Meals Recipe

Pop quiz time: What’s in a Big Mac?

That was an easy one, right? It’s two-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions-on-a-sesame-seed-bun. It’s kind of the ultimate sandwich – an extra-large burger with everything.

Big Macs would make great party food, except for one problem: they’re too big. Guests come with different-sized appetites, and not everyone is hungry enough to scarf down two-all-beef-patties with everything. Some people might only want half of one, while others could easily eat two.

These Big Mac Sliders are the solution. They’ve got all the fixings that make the Big Mac so special, but in a smaller form that fits easily in one hand. So your guests can have just one, or as many as it takes to satisfy their appetite.

Of course, if you made these the way McDonald’s does – frying up each beef patty in a skillet – making a whole batch would be a real hassle.

So I use a simpler shortcut: I roast the beef in a big sheet pan, then lay it right on top of your tray of slider buns. Top it with the special-sauce-lettuce-cheese etcetera, put on the bun tops, and sprinkle on sesame seeds for that final on-a-sesame-seed-bun touch.

And presto, Big Macs for the crowd – no drive-through required.Big Mac Sliders - Ingredients for recipe in small bowls- shredded lettuce, dressing, mayo, seasonings, onion, relish, cheese slices, beef and buns

I do love this recipe. Small size, indulging without going to the real thing.. Suggest toasting buns and using lean beef as these ended up a little sloppy.
