Butter Pecan Brownies
One of the best ice cream flavors ever invented is butter pecan. Maybe not the best ice cream flavor, but it’s definitely on the short list. That sweet, buttery cream base, and the nutty crunch of the pecans – oh yeah, it’s an experience.
In fact, there’s really only one thing that keeps butter pecan from being the perfect dessert flavor: there’s no chocolate in it.
Or at least, there wasn’t until now.

These Butter Pecan Brownies pair the dark, chocolatey richness of homemade brownies with a sweet, creamy butter pecan icing. So it’s got the best of two fantastic desserts in one.
Now, you might think a dessert this fabulous would be a lot of work to make. But actually, it’s quite simple. The brownies are easy, and the icing is just your basic buttercream frosting, but with a hint of maple syrup and a generous portion of chopped pecans. You can easily whip it up while the brownies are in the oven.
So, to sum up: Rich, chocolatey brownies? Check. Butter pecan frosting? Check. Easy recipe? Check.
Put all that together, and this might really be the perfect dessert. Or at least, definitely near the top.
