This is now one of our favorite meals but, I did make a couple alterations.
I add in juice from 6 limes which I put into a measuring cup than fill it up the rest of the way with broth to the 14 ounce line.
I also add in a 1/2 bunch of fresh chopped cilantro (stems and all.. don’t waste that part its delish & edible).
I add in about a tablespoon of cumin & a tablespoon of chili powder (eyeball both of them)
And, about 2 tablespoons of chopped pickled jalapenos.

The lime & cilantro really take this recipe to a whole other level. It brings a brightness and a bigger punch of flavor

    1. Ooops I forgot to mention I don’t add the cilantro until the last 30 minutes – after the chicken is shredded and placed back in the pot.

Any thoughts on a substitute for the ranch packet? I can’t do the MSG that is in that mix but would love to try a new twist on the chicken taco.
