Cool Ranch Crockpot Chicken Tacos or Tostadas

The intention was to have these posted for you in time for Cinco de Mayo, but life got crazy busy. Oh well, a couple days late, but they are worth the wait!
This recipe really should be called Cool Ranch Crockpot Chicken Tostadas, Tacos, Burritos, Nachos, etc … You can add this yummy shredded chicken to just about anything. I am excited to throw some of the leftovers on my salad tonight.
The combo of ranch & taco spices really reminded me of Cool Ranch Doritos…. hence the name. I must say, this is one of my easiest crockpot recipes. Four ingredients, in the crockpot, and push go! Hi, 1st time visitir to your page and everything looks fantastic!! Just picking out what to try and I spotted this ranch hotpot chicken. My question is, being in Australia we are not a massive ranch dressing country so I’m not sure what I’m looking for with the ranch ingredient. Is it dressing or a packet of dry spice mix like the taco seasoning? If it is the later I’m not sure I’ll find it here so do you hsveca substitute suggestion? Thanks for your time!
It is the dry spice. I actually have a DIY recipe for ranch mix you can make. Here is the link. https://www.familyfreshmeals.com/2014/07/diy-homemade-ranch-dressing-mix.html
This was very good! I don’t have a crockpot, so I used my Instant Pot. I cut the chicken breasts in half, used 1/2 cup of broth, and the rest was the same. I cook on high pressure for 10 minutes and let it release for about 4-5 minutes, and then shredded it and added back to the broth. My kids approved, too!
Great recipe! We have eaten this as tostadas, tacos, and salad and loved it every time. It’s a hit with my kids, who can be weirdly picky, so that’s a big win!
Hi, this recipe sounds so good! I’m going to dbl the chicken. Should I then dbl the packets? Or add one package of each kind? Thank you
If you are going to double the chicken, I would double everything in the recipe.
So yummy and easy! This is one of my husband’s favorites!
