Cream Cheese Stuffed Banana Bread
This is seriously the best banana bread ever!
My favorite thing to do with slightly overripe bananas is bake them into a banana bread. There’s nothing quite like coming into a kitchen filled with the warm, golden smell of fresh-baked banana bread and cutting yourself a slice while it’s still warm from the oven.
Fresh banana bread is delicious all by itself, or topped with butter – but recently, I discovered it also goes great with a schmear of cream cheese. And that got me thinking: Why not just bake the cream cheese right into the bread?
Doing this isn’t as hard as it sounds. It works the same way as my Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread: put half the batter in the pan, then add the sweetened cream cheese filling, and pour the rest of the batter on top. Sprinkle on some chopped walnuts just for good measure, and bake.

I have had gastric bypass so i can not have the flour can i use the almond flour or another one instead plus i cant have the sugar i know i can use the fake sugar but what kind do u recommend? And will it still be the same equivalent as the recipe because some u have to use more but with splenda its the same. Can u tell me what the calories and carbs would be when i change it?
I’m unsure Jamie about the substitutes, since I have only made the recipe as written. If you do make the substitute, I would suggest putting the ingredients into a free app like My Fitness Pal, and it can tell you all the nutritional info then.
You definitely caught my attention with this recipe, especially since my family & I all love Banana Bread. I already sent my DH to the store, to get me some very ripe bananas. We’ll be enjoying this Banana Bread tonight. Thanks very much 🙂
Just wondering if this can be frozen….
