A one-pot wonder that’s as easy as one, two, three, four.
This easy one-pot meal is an old standby of mine. I first ran it on the site about four years ago, but I have so many more fans and followers now (thanks, guys!) that I thought I should bring it back and give you all a chance to see how it’s done.
So you don’t need to mess around with preparing separate meat, starch, and veggie dishes – it’s all in there.
And like any good one-pot dish, this one is really easy to put together. All you have to do is brown the meat, and then layer everything into the crock:
- Sauce
- Ravioli (straight out of the package – you don’t even need to thaw them)
- Meat
- Cheese
And after this quick one-two-three-four, you just put the lid on, and let everything cook for about four hours on low.
As an extra bonus, this dish is really easy to adapt it to make it veggie-friendly. All you have to do is substitute Morningstar Farms Grillers Veggie Crumbles – or any other ground beef substitute you like – for the beef. Boom, vegetarian.
Quick, easy, one-pot, and veggie-friendly…what more could you possibly ask for?
(printable recipe at bottom of post)
Easy Crockpot Lasagna Ravioli
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb ground round (or MorningStar Farms Grillers Recipe Crumbles for veg friendly)
1 cup chopped onions
2-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 (24oz) jar of pasta sauce
1 (25oz) package or frozen cheese-filled ravioli(do not thaw)
1 (8oz) package shredded Italian blend cheese
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cook ground round (or veg crumble), onion, and garlic in a large skillet over a medium/high heat, until beef crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain if needed and set aside.
2. Spoon 3/4 cup pasta sauce into bottom of a lightly greased crockpot. Layer half of the ravioli.
3. Next layer with 1/2 the meat mixture.
4. Then top with 1 cup of cheese.
5. Repeat layers, starting with 3/4 cup of sauce, ravioli, meat and end with the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours until pasta is tender. Like I said above, the original recipe said 6 hours, but mine was ready to go after 4.5 hours. So test your crock out with this one!

Little Mommy says
I made this last week with ground turkey & my kids LOVED it!!! Thanks so much for the yummy recipe! 🙂
Ashley M says
I live in South Carolina and I’ve literally searched every grocery store around and can’t find the frozen ravioli. The only freezer sections in my store contains pizzas, frozen meals, fries, veggies, etc. but not pasta noodles or ravioli!! What can I substitute for the cheese stuff ravioli? Thanks!!
Corey says
Can you find refrigerated ravioli? That would work fine, you would just reduce the cooking at little bit so the pasta doesn’t get soggy.
Jax says
Wal-Mart should have them
Julie Altschafl says
Buy refrigerated and then freeze!
Marybek says
I use the frozen beef ravioli I buy it at Kroger’s
Julia says
Thank you for this fantastic recipe! Made it for my mother-in-law, who is a much better cook than I, for Mother’s Day and she was so impressed. None of your recipes have failed me yet!
Corey says
Oh yay! I am so happy she loved it! I am honored that I made the Mother’s Day menu 🙂
Amelia says
This looks great, can you please let me know the size of the crock pot you’re using? Maybe you’ve mentioned it somewhere but I couldn’t find it… (I’ve got a 3.5 L Slow cooker).
Corey says
I used a 4-6 quart for this one
Katie says
Love this! Have made it several times now, my family loves it and its easy to make! I agree on cooking it for 4 hours. Mine was overdone when I did the full 6 hours.
Julie Raasch says
If I double this, how much longer should it be cooked?
Corey says
No, you shouldn’t have to. Maybe 30-40 mins more depending on our crockpot.
Erin says
I would also like to double this. I believe my crockpot is a 5 quart. Will that work?
Corey says
Yes that should work out just fine Erin.
Dad On the Crockpot says
So I have 4 options on my crockpot and I am a dad 🙂 Learning as I go on this stuff. You say to cook on low for 4 hour or so, I see 4 options on mine, HIGH 4 hrs, 6 hrs, LOW, 8 hrs, 10hrs. So I am cooking this on LOW 8hr option but will be done by 4 to 4 1/2 hours?
Thanks for any insight on this one
Corey says
Low on would be a little too long. Can you just shut it off after four hours?
Mel says
What kind of pasta sauce do you use?
Corey says
I have so many I love! I use my homemade sauce often, but if I don’t have a batch on hand, I love Target’s Archer Farms or Trader Joe’s Sauce a bunch. There are just some many yummy sauces out there.
Mel says
Arrabbiata or tomato basil?
Karen says
Maybe I am missing something but what do I do with the rest of the sauce. It has me adding only 3/4 cup twice. Thanks
Dawn says
With no liquid will it not burn?
Judy says
Thanks for the great recipe. I made it exactly as written and crocked it for 5 hours while I was at school. That was about 1 hour too long – it came out a little dry, but still tasty though. I will definitely make this again, but next time I’ll increase the amount of sauce, meat, and cheese and only cook for 4 hours.
April Hoyer says
Any real changes if I don’t use meat?
Corey says
No April 🙂
Julie Lease says
I want to say that I LOVE your recipes. I’ve made so many of them and have not been disappointed! I did make the crockpot ravioli lasagna several times, and although I liked it, it never came out quite the way I wanted it to. Tonight I tried it with adding a can of undrained diced to patties, and cooking it on low for 4 hours (so a 10 hour low setting). It was PERFECT! The tomatoes added the moisture I was lacking the past few times I cooked it. I also used ground turkey instead of beef.
Thank you for always sharing your recipes, they are a hit in my family!
Nellie says
Made this tonight for my family and they loved it! I did put a little cottage cheese on a layer so it wouldn’t dry out any, It was perfect! My boys went even had seconds! Thanks for the wonder recipe! This is now a family favorite!
Shay Chamberlain says
What size crock pot do you need to make this recipe? Or would you be able to cut it down for less servings? I have a small crock pot for only 2 people. I’m looking forward to making this!
Corey says
You can cut the recipe in half and you should be fine Shay.
Frances Robinson says
I’ve made this recipe several times and it’s a keeper. Only significant change I made was to use all of the remaining pasta sauce before I added the final cup of cheese. There wasn’t enough sauce the first time I made it. I used refrigerated pasta since I couldn’t find frozen.
Melanie says
Simple to put together and the family loves it. So yummy!!
Rebecca Avila says
Thank you for the recipe!! I made it for my family and they absolutely love it❤️
Linda says
This is a great base recipe, but definitely needs some more flavor – I added rosemary, sage, oregano, cumin, and S&P to give it more Italian taste. I also used thawed ravioli and cut the cook time in half and it worked great!
Marybek says
This is one of my favorite easy meals for the week!!! I use the frozen beef ravioli from Kroger’s.
How long to cook on high?
Corey says
You can try 3 Hours on HIGH. Let us know how that works out!
Kathy McGee says
Can this recipe be made ahead of time (night before) or is it best the day of?
Corey says
I wouldn’t have the ingredients sit in the crockpot overnight without cooking, but you could defiantly could make it a day ahead of time, refrigerate and then reheat.
Martha Snider says
I have a 9×13 slow cooker. Would this work?
Corey says
Yes Martha. It just might cook a little quicker.
