An easy way to pack a breakfast classic.
Pop quiz time: When I say “Bagel and…” you say…
Chances are, your answer was “Cream cheese.” The classic pairing of bagels with cream cheese – or “with a schmear,” as they say in New York – has been around for over a hundred years, and it’s as popular as ever. And no wonder – the soft, silky cream cheese with its faintly tangy flavor is the perfect partner for the starchy, chewy bagel. Especially with sweet bagels like blueberry or raisin, it’s a match made in heaven.
I decided to turn this classic combo into a complete grab-and-go breakfast with the help of my EasyLunchBoxes. The big compartment can just hold an entire blueberry bagel with a little cup of cream cheese on the side, ready to schmear. On the side, I added strawberries and blueberries to give you some healthy, vitamin-packed fruit with your meal, and some almonds and Craisins for a little extra protein (and extra texture).
With this Bagel and Cream Cheese Box, you can skip the delicatessen and take this breakfast fave anywhere you go.
