TIPS FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE
- If you’d prefer a lighter dip, consider using medium to low-fat cream cheese and sour cream.
- If you have a small amount of dip leftover, heat it up with some cream and use it to coat some pasta or use it as a topping on grilled chicken breasts. It’s also super delicious as a spread on toasted sandwiches!
- Consider adding some crumbled bacon to this fried pickle dip for a delicious meaty twist.
- You can mix in diced dill pickles or even dill relish into the actual dip instead of it just being a garnish. This will provide even more of a tangy flavor.
- Greek yogurt can be used instead of sour cream although this will change the overall taste slightly.
- Another tasty addition to this fried pickle dip includes chopped white onion.
CAN I MAKE THIS DIP AHEAD OF TIME?
- Yes, you can! This dip can be assembled a day or two in advance and stored in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it.
IS THIS DIP GLUTEN-FREE?
If you’ve used regular panko breadcrumbs then this fried pickle dip won’t be gluten-free. This can easily be remedied by using gluten-free breadcrumbs instead.
