Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad just got a whole lot cooler!

If you love chicken salad and avocados, then you are going to go ga-ga for this recipe.  After my first bite , I had an OMG moment. How can this taste THIS GOOD and be HEALTHY!

To make this recipe even more awesome, I used 1/2 mayo and 1/2 plain Greek Yogurt.  This plus the creamy chunks of avocado really do take this recipe up a notch. Double bonus…. my daughters also loved it 🙂  So next time you are thinking about whipping up some chicken salad, please do yourself a favor and give this amazing recipe a try.

Healthy Avocado Chicken Salad

  2. Serve on your favorite bread, crackers, pita pocket or on a bed of lettuce.

Healthy Avocado Chicken Salad

Ingredients
 

  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes to let all those yummy flavors blend together.
  • Serve on your favorite bread, crackers, pita pocket or on a bed of lettuce.

Notes

Serve any Healthy Avocado Chicken Salad leftovers for lunch the next day!

    My family loves this recipe! We will never eat chicken salad any other way!! We put it in a bag the added melted a slice of Colby cheese on in the oven!!! The cheese probably makes it less healthy but it is so good!! Thank you for this recipe! I’m trying to give it 5 stars but my phone is not acting right!!

  4. Hi there, how would you recommend saving this since it has avocado in it? Wouldn’t the avocado turn brown? Thanks

    1. The acid in the lime will prevent that so avacodo should be fine. I add a little extra lime to be safe. It usually holds 5 days for me… if it isn’t ate up by then lol

  5. Made this and it was indeed delicious ? to make it healthier next time I will try it without the mayo because the flavors are so good it may not need it!
