Healthy Avocado Chicken Salad

Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad just got a whole lot cooler!
If you love chicken salad and avocados, then you are going to go ga-ga for this recipe. After my first bite , I had an OMG moment. How can this taste THIS GOOD and be HEALTHY!
To make this recipe even more awesome, I used 1/2 mayo and 1/2 plain Greek Yogurt. This plus the creamy chunks of avocado really do take this recipe up a notch. Double bonus…. my daughters also loved it 🙂 So next time you are thinking about whipping up some chicken salad, please do yourself a favor and give this amazing recipe a try.

Healthy Avocado Chicken Salad
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes to let all those yummy flavors blend together.


- Serve on your favorite bread, crackers, pita pocket or on a bed of lettuce.

- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt

This was great. I loved that the yogurt added a creamy element but wasn’t too tangy and made it feel lighter with less mayo. I used leftover Costco rotisserie chicken that was in need of sprucing up. I did leave out the cilantro but it still turned out tasty. I like that this seemed like a versital base for add ins. Next time I think I will add white beans and celery or cucumber chunks! Oh I bet subbing tuna for chicken would also work well! Thanks for a quick lunch.
I’m always looking for healthy new ideas for my lunch meal preps so I decided to give your chicken salad recipe a try… I just want to say, I hardly ever leave reviews but this recipe was SO good, I just had to! lol I used a rotisserie chicken and followed your recipe exactly. I’ve been making chicken salad for ages, but I never really thought of adding avocados. I usually add celery for some added crunch. I’m definitely giving this a try! 🙂

We love this recipe. I like to stuff it in the avocado skin for a quick light meal, this is our go to in our house, I just up the lime and cilantro a bit. Absolutely amazing
