Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad just got a whole lot cooler!
If you love chicken salad and avocados, then you are going to go ga-ga for this recipe. After my first bite , I had an OMG moment. How can this taste THIS GOOD and be HEALTHY!
To make this recipe even more awesome, I used 1/2 mayo and 1/2 plain Greek Yogurt. This plus the creamy chunks of avocado really do take this recipe up a notch. Healthy Avocado Chicken Salad
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes to let all those yummy flavors blend together.


- Serve on your favorite bread, crackers, pita pocket or on a bed of lettuce.

- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt

This was super delicious.. we wanted something light for dinner and this recipe definitely did it… taking the left over for lunch tomorrow!!

Pardon my naivety, but I have never cooked before. I am starting now, and I like your combination of ingredients. Questions however. Is the chicken to be boiled first? Any particular method you suggest? Is there a particular part of the chicken that works best for this recipe, like thigh, breast, etc?
Yes the chicken needs to be cooked first. I like to use chicken breasts. I love to make my chicken on the grill, in the crockpot or Instant pot. Here are links to those
