Over the years, I’ve done lots of different takes on lasagna. I’ve made it into a soup version, a one-pot ravioli dinner – even a breakfast casserole.

But even I wondered if I was going too far when I started asking myself, “Could lasagna be a dessert?” I know, it sounds crazy! But you know I just can’t resist a challenge. Once I had the idea, I had to try it.
So I started figuring out substitutes for all the lasagna layers. For the noodles, I used a cookie crust made from crushed Oreos and butter. For the cheese, a mix of sweetened cream cheese and Cool Whip. For the filling, chocolate pudding – and instead of Parmesan on top, a sprinkling of chocolate chips.
Did it work? Ohhhhhhhhh yes.
This OMG Chocolate Lasagna has all the layers of flavor you expect from a great lasagna – except those layers are sweet, creamy, and chocolatey. It’s chocolate heaven in every mouthful.

what does “on fo the halves” mean??
Sorry Judy, it as a typo and has been corrected to “one of the halves”
How do you get all 36 Oreo cookies into the crust? There is no way that is possible. Maybe 30 cookies would be do-able. I mean once that bag is open, I’d eat a half dozen before they would make it into the recipe. How does one resolve this dilemma? Should I shrink the recipe or should I buy an extra bag of Oreos? Hmm. I wonder! lol
Love this!! I will definitely be making this soon!
