Weekend Potluck Recipes Week 339
Exciting news, everyone! My little ol’ blog has been invited to take part in the Weekend Potluck.
A potluck, as you probably know, is a party where everyone brings a dish to share with the group. This is a great way to entertain because each person only needs to cook one thing, but when you put them all together, you get a wide variety for everyone to sample. You can have soups, salads, main dishes, and desserts from half a dozen different cuisines, all sharing the same table.

So how do you have a potluck online, you ask? Simple: every week, a bunch of food bloggers – now including yours truly – each select one of our best new recipes. We make a post for that recipe and then send a link to that post, complete with a photo, to the “hostesses” of the potluck: Brandie from The Country Cook Mary from Sweet Little Bluebird, Melissa from Served Up With Love and Mandy from South You Mouth!
Then, every Friday morning, each of these hostesses posts all the links and photos on her site – like a smorgasbord of delicious dishes laid out on one big table. Anyone who visits their sites can browse through all the selections and click on the ones they like the best.
The Weekend Potluck is also a contest of sorts, because the hostesses keep track of which recipe gets the most clicks. Each Friday, before listing the links to new recipes, they highlight the most popular recipe from the previous week’s potluck, as well as a few other recipes that especially caught their attention. And, every week, there’s a featured link to one of the hostesses’ own recipes as well.
Want to join in the fun? All you have to do is pop by here every Friday. You can see what I’ve “cooked” for that week’s potluck, and then click on the link to see what everyone else brought to the party.
