How to Clean Fruits and Vegetables

Our local farmer’s market started a couple weeks ago.  The girls and I love to go pick out a ton of fresh fruits and veggies. I thought that many of you would also be enjoying the local markets, so this would be the perfect time to share my EASY PEASY way to clean up those goodies.

You’ll see a ton of expensive cleaning sprays at the store, but all you need is a big bowl of water, vinegar and a scrub brush.  The vinegar kills off any nasty germs, chemical free.

How to Clean Fruits and Vegetables 

  • Ingredients
  • 8 cups of water
  • 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  1. Fill a large bowl with about 8 cups of water. Add in 2 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and your fruits and vegetables.
  2. Let sit for about 15 minutes.  After 15 minutes, gently scrub, rise, dry and enjoy!
