Cheesy Sausage Dip

Cheesy Sausage Dip Recipe - Family Fresh Meals

Now that football season is in full swing, I thought it would be a good idea to work on some new recipes for game-night munchies. And when I think of party food, naturally, the first thing I think of is dip.

Now, I’ve made lots of different dips over the years, from bean dip to crack dip to pizza dip. And as delicious as they are, they have one big problem: they’re just appetizers. So if the game is on at dinnertime, your guests can go through a whole bowlful of dip and still be looking around for the rest of the meal.

So this time, I decided to do a dip that was really substantial. I loaded it up crumbled cooked sausage and three kinds of cheese – cream cheese, cheddar, and Muenster. Then, since a complete meal needs a veggie, I stirred in a can of Rotel seasoned tomatoes, juice and all. That gives it more nutrition and plenty of zesty Mexican flavor.

This Cheesy Sausage Dip is so hearty, it’s practically a meal in itself. All it needs is your favorite dippers – tortilla chips, celery, or anything else dippable – to make it complete.

What kind of bulk sausage is used? I couldn’t tell if it was breakfast, Italian, or some other kind of bulk sausage that was used.
