Avocado Keto Lunchbox Idea
There are regular low-carb diets. And then there’s keto.
The ketogenic diet is really low in carbs – like, less than four slices of bread per day. That obviously rules out eating a sandwich for lunch, but it takes a lot of other lunch options off the table, too. Even a salad with iceberg lettuce could be too carby.
So how do you pack a satisfying lunch on this diet? By focusing on specific foods that are keto-friendly. Start with a nice avocado half, which is loaded with healthy fats to fill you up. Add some sliced chicken to provide protein. Throw in a few walnuts on the side, for a bit of crunch. And get your veggies in by sticking to the lowest-carb choices, like sliced cucumbers – with just a few little cherry tomatoes for flavor.
