Crockpot Sloppy Joe Casserole
Crockpot Sloppy Joe Casserole turns classic sloppy joes into a comforting casserole, slow-cooked in a Crockpot with pasta added for bulk and delicious texture.
Enjoy this sloppy joe casserole with a side of vegetables, dinner rolls, or green salad.
Recipe Notes:
- I haven’t specified the type of cheese to use in this casserole. Cheddar cheese or mozzarella works well.
- Make this crockpot sloppy joe casserole ahead of time by storing it in a casserole dish, covered with plastic wrap or foil, and refrigerate it for up to 2 days. Allow the casserole to reach room temperature before reheating it in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- The Manwich brand Sloppy Joe sauce is ideal for this casserole recipe.
- Draining the browned beef will help the meat soak up all the seasoning and saucy flavors that are added to make the crockpot mixture.
You can store this casserole in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To reheat refrigerated leftovers, place the casserole in the microwave or the oven at 350℉ until warm throughout.
To reheat from frozen, thaw overnight in the fridge and then reheat in the oven until heated through.
This sloppy joe casserole is comforting and filling enough to be enjoyed as is but it can also be paired with a side of garlic bread, homemade dinner rolls, roasted vegetables, or leafy green salad.

Are you supposed to cook the pasta ahead of time or pour it in straight out of the box and let it cook in the crockpot?
Yes, pasta goes in dry and cooks in the crockpot. If you are using special noodles, like gluten free, garbanzo bean pasta, etc… I would cook those separate.
this recipe looks great. I just had a question about the ingredients it says
30 oz cans of sloppy joe sauce I was confused if there is just one can or multiple cans. Also is the sloppy joe sauce the can of sloppy joe?
Hi Lynn! Sorry for the confusion. Yes, it is 1, 30oz can of sloppy joe sauce. And yes, the sloppy joe sauce is the can of sloppy joe.
